| Old Rig Rick plays a custom built (1999) Indian Rosewood Grand Stick #1700 with a custom made wood pickup housing that holds custom double wound standard Stick pickups as well as a Seymour Duncan Hotrail on the melody side. Complimenting the melody side is a GK-2 MIDI pickup driving a Roland GR-30 Synth. To reproduce the low frequencies of the Stick Rick uses an Eden WT-800 amp and an Eden 410 XLT bass cabinet. The melody side is brought to life with a Johnson Millennium amplifier. New Rig Rick has become a vocalist recently and has a new setup for voice as well as the Stick and Synth. The improvement in sound as well as the stereo spread is significant. A Mackie CFX-12 mixer is the heart of the system complimented by a pair of Mackie SRM 450 amplified speakers. On the floor are two modeling pedals including a Digitech GNX4 for the melody side and a Digitech BP200 for the bass side. The Roland GR-30 Synth is the MIDI converter for the GK-2 MIDI pickup and also drives a Korg Triton-Rack for next generation synth sounds. |
