As a follow up to his first release on the Chapman Stick "Sticking it out", Rick has finished his latest endeavor "The Cruise". All 10 tunes were inspired by and penned on the Chapman Stick. From thundering bass lines to flowing melodic rhythms to sizzling solos, you're on a journey through a vast range of feels and emotions. The other musicians on this release are all top notch and can deliver the goods. The solid driving drum tracks laid down by Dennis Romero and Brad Cox establish the groove with authority. The solos and rhythm comps by Billy Townes, Drew Francis and Tim Whitcanack add another dimension to the creative process and round out the diversity found on this recording.
